Ooops, we did it again! We sold our home on 11 acres and purchased an old home on Main Street in a tiny rural town in Kentucky. The house was built in the early 1900’s (I’m still trying to track down history to find the actual build date) and is in need of some cosmetic TLC, but it has great bones and a perfect layout for us. It sits on a half an acre of flat land with huge, old trees surrounding the property and is walking distance from just about anything in town, which is pretty awesome. The outside has been recently renovated, but the inside is a bit rough, cosmetic-wise. We plan to revamp all the walls and ceilings to smooth them out and fix a bunch of cracks in the plaster, fully update the kitchen and both bathrooms, replace all flooring either by restoring the original hardwood or putting new grey laminate flooring in, painting throughout, updating hardware, fixtures, etc and some other needed updates. I’ll be updating as we go through the process. In the meantime, click the image of the outside of the house below for a full Flickr tour! Or jump to the full Flickr album. Time will tell if we decide to stay here or sell it for profit down the road and move along to our next project…you just never know with us!
